book recommendation

The kids and I love to read. It's one of the ways we are learning history, science, how to read, etc.

The history books I am loving right now are the Ordinary People Change the World series by Brad Meltzer. I heard the recommendation from Ben Shapiro, who said his 4 year-old daughter loved them. Initially, I got two (Neil Armstrong and Abraham Lincoln), and discovered they are well worth the recommendation. Now, we are slowly gathering all of them (from thriftbooks.com!).

Each book has a topic from which the kids learn about that person's life. Yesterday we read the one on Jackie Robinson, and it was all about being brave, while covering topics of racism and bullying, all in the form of a comic-book style type design.

Well worth the read for kiddos. Here's the link:

a glimpse inside the Jackie Robinson book!

If you're a parent, find a book to read to your kids (or grandkids!) today. If not a parent, find a book you can read! :-) It's always great to keep learning.
